Scope Inclusions

The Land EPA scope shall include:

  • Processes, procedures or activities related to land where the primary objective for such processes, procedures or activities relates to avoiding, minimizing or mitigating disturbances
  • Disturbances that: result from exploration, mining and extraction, In situ, upgrading or decommissioning; and affect:
    • Biodiversity                                                                                     
    • Fungi                                                                                                                     
    • Streams                                                                                                                 
    • Aquatics                                                                                                                 
    • Wildlife
    • Wetlands
    • Rivers
    • Soil
    • Vegetation
    • Lakes
    • Fish
    • Terrain
    • Ecosystem composition                                                                               
    • Ecosystem structure
    • Ecosystem function
  • Shallow groundwater quality and quantity pertaining to substrata moisture conditions and vegetation use;
  • Biota, soil and water (including shallow groundwater) affected by atmospheric deposition;
  • Tailings deposits that are trafficable or otherwise suitable for reclamation or other use as permitted under applicable laws.
